Alejandro Fiszman, J.D., B.Comm.
Tax Litigation & Planning Lawyer

Alejandro is a tax litigator first and foremost, representing individuals and owner-managed businesses in audits, objections, taxpayer-relief applications, and appeals before both the Tax Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Canada. A graduate of the University of Ottawa’s finance program and Windsor Law, he pairs sharp numerical insight with deep statutory knowledge to tackle complex assessments and penalties.
Before joining Berger Law, Alejandro founded and ran his own boutique practice, Fiszman Law, and now leads Berger’s tax presence in the National Capital Region. His recent matters range from negotiating multi-million-dollar settlements in investor fraud cases to structuring estate freezes and corporate reorganizations that keep family enterprises intact across generations, as well as winning interest-and-penalty remissions for clients facing six-figure reassessments.
Away from court filings, Alejandro codes AI-driven document-review tools in Python and LangChain to accelerate case analysis—an extension of the same precision that took him coast-to-coast by bicycle in 2021. Licensed in Ontario and trilingual English, French and Spanish, he brings resilience, creativity, and practical advice to every file he handles.
